Home Screen Widgets

Add a Good Take widget to your Home Screen for one-tap recording without opening the app. Available in small and medium sizes, plus Lock Screen widgets in circular, rectangular, and inline styles.

Live Activity & Dynamic Island

When you’re recording, a Live Activity appears on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island showing recording progress — duration, audio level, and a stop button. The practice timer also uses Live Activity to show your current block and time remaining. You can interact with both without unlocking your phone.

Siri Shortcuts

Good Take integrates with Siri Shortcuts. You can create custom shortcuts to start recordings, stop recordings, start sessions, or open specific tools. Include Good Take actions in your own automation workflows.

Action Button

On iPhones with an Action Button (iPhone 15 Pro and later), you can assign Good Take actions to it. Go to Settings > Action Button, choose Shortcut, and select a Good Take shortcut — like starting a recording. One press and you’re capturing an idea without even unlocking your phone.

iPad Support

Good Take works on iPad with an adaptive layout. On larger screens, the library uses a sidebar navigation for quick access to your ideas, projects, and tools. The keyboard is especially great on iPad — rotate to landscape for a full-screen playing experience.
