Terms of Service
Last updated: June 8, 2026
The Short Version
Good Take is a music idea capture app. Your recordings and notes are yours. Use the app responsibly, keep backups of anything important, and do not use Good Take to infringe anyone else's rights.
Your Content
You keep ownership of the recordings, notes, lyrics, MIDI data, project names, tags, and other content you create or import in Good Take.
You are responsible for making sure you have the rights to anything you record, import, export, or share.
Local Storage, iCloud, and Sharing
Good Take stores your data on your device and, if enabled, in your personal iCloud account. When you export or share files, you choose where those files go.
Good Take does not operate account servers and cannot recover files you delete from your device or iCloud.
Optional AI Features
AI copilot features are optional and use API keys you provide for third-party AI providers. Requests go from your device to the provider you select. Your use of those providers is also governed by their terms and policies.
Third-Party Materials
Good Take includes the GeneralUser GS SoundFont by S. Christian Collins for built-in instrument playback. See the Acknowledgements page for license and attribution details.
App Store and TestFlight
Distribution through Apple's App Store or TestFlight is also subject to Apple's applicable terms. Beta builds may change, break, or expire.
No Warranty
Good Take is provided as-is. The app is built to protect your work, but no software is perfect. Keep separate backups of recordings or projects that matter.
Changes
These terms may change as Good Take changes. The current version will be posted here with an updated date.
